RESTRICTED: Artist Consignment Agreements, 1985-1986

This subseries is comprised of files maintained on artists who consigned art with the Sales and Rental Gallery. They consist of artist biographical sketches (originally compiled in 1977), objects received and returned, contracts, consignment agreements, shipping receipts, insurance information, and consignment cards and lithographs (especially for Thomas Hart Benton). Correspondence with artists include letters inviting them to participate in future art shows and about exhibitions they are in, thank you letters, and letters from renters/buyers expressing interest in artwork. There are also catalogues and clippings from shows artists appeared in (and catalogues specifically for the Thirty Miles of Art/Mid-Four Annual Exhibitions), photographs/slides of artwork submitted for consideration, artists lists (1969, 1976, 1986), submissions, and Mid-America Arts Alliance fellowship winners from 1985.
