Scope and Contents
This subseries contains art tracking cards and reports on objects returned to dealers and artists, a by-laws of the Friends of Art with Sales and Rental Gallery general and rental instructions, and blank rental and consignment agreements. There are also order requests from various individuals and institutions, and brochures, catalogues, clippings, correspondence highlighting other sales and rental programs. Also found are printing information, publicity on exhbitions, shipping requests, sales reports, lists of registered renters from 1978-1981, and Friends of Art volunteer applications from 1983-1987 . Correspondence includes letters about general business and operations as well as those to and from artists about upcoming or finished exhibitions, payments and pricing of artwork, and the Sales and Rental Gallery’s closure (1986-1987) and disbursing the art. There are also memos to Elizabeth “Libby” Scott from 1985.
