Department of European Art Records
The Department of European Art Records, dated 1903-2010, predominately relate to administration of the department and its collections, exhibitions, initiatives, and relationships with other institutions. This collection is largely unprocessed, except for five boxes, which relate to the tenures of curators, Patrick J. Kelleher, Ted Coe, and Roger Ward.

A large part of the collection documents the Marsden Hartley, George Catlin, and Bingham to Benton exhibitions with the bulk of the collection falling between 1981-2009.

These records document the activities of the department from 1999-2018, both during and after its division from the Department of African, Oceanic, and the Americas (AOA) in the early 2000s with the departure of curator, David Binkely.

The bulk of these records document the activities of the department from 1984 to 2001, before its division into the Department of African Arts and the Department of Native American Arts in the early 2000s with the departure of longtime curator, David Binkely.
