The series is composed of several papers written for art history courses taken by Harris while she was working towards her bachelors and masters degrees. It also includes some material related to her application and eventual acceptance into the Fulbright Scholar program. Harris studied Chinese art at London University during the 1952-1953 academic year.

This series contains a 1950 lecture given by Harris on the Museum's Chinese art collection, and a typewritten manuscript of Laurence Sickman's book The Art and Architecture of China, which appears to have corrections penciled in by Harris. It also contains a scrapbook given to Harris upon her retirement from the Museum in 1987. The scrapbook includes photographs of all the Museum employees along with their personal messages to Harris.
