This series contains official documents and photographs, personal photographs, news clippings, programs and invitations and letters of introduction. Included are two "Door Gods" that were part of the wartime propaganda effort and were probably dropped as leaflets from USAAF planes. There are also a few pieces of correspondence and one telegram.

This series contains correspondence, notes, account books, letters of introduction and other material relating to his professional life as curator, vice-director, director and director emeritus.

This series consists of items that appear to have belonged to May R. Sickman, Laurence Sickman’s mother, although it was not received as a distinct set of material but was scattered throughout Mr. Sickman's papers. Items were identified by address (to Mrs. Sickman) or by her handwriting.
