This series consists of items that appear to have belonged to May R. Sickman, Laurence Sickman’s mother, although it was not received as a distinct set of material but was scattered throughout Mr. Sickman's papers. Items were identified by address (to Mrs. Sickman) or by her handwriting.

This series contains passports, business cards, a personalized Christmas card, a postcard collection, invitations, calling cards, address books, check stubs, bank statements and other papers related to his personal finances, notes, book plates, memorabilia and mementos. Individual items such as family correspondence from 1848-1959 are also contained in this series. There are some papers and items such as honorary degrees that relate to his professional life as well.
