Scope and Contents Note

The Mary Louise (Clifton) Womer Papers contains correspondence, photographs, and a newspaper clipping related to her employment as the head of education at the Museum. This collection contains two letters, one from Womer and one from an unknown source, both detailing mid-1940s Museum history and giving information on the staff during that time period. Also included are photographs of much of the Museum staff in the mid-1940s. Additionally, there is a March 1945 issue of the Southeast High School (KCMO) newspaper, The Southeast Tower, which includes an article about Womer and the Museum Education Department.
