Scope and Contents Note
The Building Superintendent’s records, dated 1933 to 1973, consist primarily of correspondence, reports, financial records, and an unpublished manuscript, and other miscellaneous materials. The collection documents the normal activities, such as maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, janitorial service, and security, associated with the operation of the Museum building. The majority of the material is from Clarence Simpson’s time as Building Superintendent, but there are also some files from MacLean’s and Songer’s tenures.
