Scope and Contents Note
This series is primarily composed of letters to Thomas Hart Benton from various individuals regarding exhibitions and sales of his art. There are also a few letters to and from Ann Constable about the sale of Benton’s art. The list of correspondents include Richard Pliant, Ben Reese, Lyle Woodcock, John Frioshi, Esther Markham, Leonard Lyons, Harry Truman, David Sheffrey, Harry Wiggins, Todd Piacenza, Charles Banks Wilson, Richard Dreyfus, and Doc Severnson.
