Planning, 1990-1998

This series contains documents relating to the planning stages of the consortium exhibition, including correspondence between the five museums, internal correspondence between Marc Wilson and Henry Adams at the Nelson-Atkins, meeting minutes, memos titled “American Art Consortium Updates,” budgets and other financial documents, the consortium contract, and preparatory materials for various grant applications including the Ford Motor Company, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as other planning files.
