Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series is comprised of research notes and lectures written by Cooper while working at the museum; most focus on various aspects of Asia and Asian Art. Also found is a talk about her memories of the museum that she presented at the 50th Anniversary of the Nelson-Atkins at a program called, “Night of Remembrances,” and lectures given to other groups like the Friends of Art and the Women’s City Club. Lectures not prepared by Cooper include “The First Fifty Years,” which was most likely given by Frank Cooper to the museum’s docents, and a lecture written by Mary Louise Womer, who helped start the Hyde Park Art Fair, to present to the Hyde Park Historical Society in 1980.
