Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series consists primarily of her professional or art-related writings, including reprints of two articles she wrote for the Gazette des Beaux Arts: The Kuo Ch’in Wang Textiles (September 1943) and The Kuo Ch’in Brocades (February 1945); a script for a museum marionette play she wrote in 1935 entitled, Bahram Gur, about the 5th Century A.D. Persian king (accompanying this is a copyright renewal form for the script from 1967); and two of her articles in Journal Magazine on Chinese snuff bottles, as well as additional research on them. There is also a reprint of an essay on jade artifacts, along with an essay written by Frank Cooper on Persian miniatures. Personal writings include two poems, one written for her Aunt Nona, and the other for her birthday dinner in September 1994.

The scrapbook from Series VI contains restricted information. A redacted copy has been provided. The rest of the collection is open for research. Appointments are necessary for the use of manuscript and archival collections.
