Scope and Contents
Unprocessed materials, dated from 1927-2012, are records pertaining to the library in the form of accession logs, a variety of reports (e.g., planning, financial, donation/gift, attendance, membership, and annual/monthly), various committees’ meeting minutes associated with the library’s collections, circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, bar coding, safety, and ephemera. There are registration forms, circulation policies, grant applications, collection development expenditures, and general correspondence related to gifts and grants, catalogs and serial exchanges, and book and magazine subscriptions. This collection also has publicity, lectures, and photographs from a variety of exhibitions, events, and conferences the library was involved with, including a box containing photos, negatives, glass panels, rubbings, and correspondence from the “Hindu Temple China” exhibition and the Archaeological Finds of the People’s Republic of China exhibition. There are also library procedures manuals from around 1979-1991 and disaster response materials from 1999.
